Pastor Fredric E. Piepenbrink was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois,
the son of Edwill and Leona Piepenbrink. He was baptized at St.
John’s Lutheran Church, Beecher, Illinois, and confirmed at Trinity
Lutheran Church in Crete, Illinois. He graduated from Crete-Monee
High School, and studied electronic technology at Bloom Junior
College. In 1967 his family moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he
attended the University of Arizona, studying electrical engineering.
Being called by the Lord to serve as his full-time servant, he entered
Bethany College (ELS) in Mankato, Minnesota, in 1974 to begin his
preseminary training. In the fall of 1976, he enrolled at Wisconsin
Lutheran Seminary, Mequon, Wisconsin. He graduated from the
seminary on May 28, 1980 and was assigned to serve as missionary to
St. John’s Lutheran Church in St. John’s, Antigua, West Indies.
Missionary Piepenbrink received and accepted the call as co-pastor
at Atonement Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, in July of 1984, where
he served for 17 years. Pastor Piepenbrink arrived in Georgia on
June 25, 2001. He was installed at Beautiful Savior Lutheran,
Marietta, Georgia, on July 22, 2001.
On July 23, 1972, he was united in marriage to Diana Kuhl,
daughter of Carlton and Evelyn Kuhl of Lake Mills, Wisconsin.
Following graduation from Lakeside Lutheran High School and Dr.
Martin Luther College, Diana served as Christian day school teacher
at Redeemer Lutheran, Tucson, Arizona; Pilgrim Lutheran,
Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; and Atonement Lutheran,
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For six years, she worked at Northwestern
Publishing House as a copy editor. She currently works as a
paraprofessional at Still Elementary School in Cobb County. The
Piepenbrinks have one daughter, Amy Beth Seeger who lives with
her husband, Brian, and daughters Ayla and Avery, in Arizona.
