Children Ministry

Infant Through Age 3
The Little Lambs program teaches Bible stories, songs, and religious
crafts during Bible class from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm on Sunday
mornings. A child is never too young to hear the name Jesus.

Age 4 through Sixth Grade
Sunday school teaches children over 150 stories from the Bible over a
period of four years during Bible class from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm.
Projects, crafts, and memorization of Bible passages are also part of
the curriculum. Children also learn songs that they sing during the
church service.

Teen Ministry

Each Sunday morning the teen group meets from 11:15 am to 12:15
pm for topical discussions. These discussions use videos and games,
and include moral and social issues as well as books of the Bible. The
group enjoys social outings and recreational activities as well.

Confirmation

Confirmation instruction is offered to all seventh and eighth graders
who desire to learn the teachings of the Bible.  The two-year course
uses Martin Luther's Small Catechism, specifically designed for young
people.  New classes begin in the fall and are open to all.  Following
confirmation instruction, a long-standing tradition in the Lutheran
church is a public examination of the confirmands, followed by the
Rite of Confirmation in a Sunday morning worship service.  This Rite
give the confirmand the opportunity to confess their faith and be
welcomed into full membership of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
It is a special event for all as it means that the confirmands have been
thoroughly instructed in the truths of God's precious Word.
Sunday Morning Bible Class

Sunday morning Bible class for adults is conducted from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm.  The studies include books of the Bible,
doctrine, topic, Lutheran confessions, etc.

Basic Teachings of the Bible

Christians new to the faith and long-time members of the church alike enjoy the relaxed atmosphere where any question One
of the most popular Bible studies that we offer at Mighty Fortress Church is “Basic Teachings of the Bible.” It last just about
the Bible may be asked and the most important answers about life, death, and eternity are discussed. The first lesson asks
questions like: “Is there a God?” “How can we know?” “What is he like?” Come once just to see what it is like, or come to all
12 sessions; there is no obligation to continue in the class or to join the church. Completion of the course, however, will
prepare individuals for church membership if they so desire. Growing in your knowledge of the Bible is the very best thing
you can do for yourself and your family. Call the church office at 770-943-0330 for a schedule.
